Position Purpose
Our Location Planners are experts in location analysis, framing projects to ensure they meet the client’s business question(s). They work closely with customers through the whole project lifecycle from initial scoping to delivery of outputs and beyond. They understand and can articulate the art and science of location analysis and are passionate about its value in decision making.
Key Responsibilities
- Location Planning: As an expert in location analysis, you will help frame projects to ensure we meet the client’s business question(s). Through detailed analysis you will build up a view of a client’s estate by conducting site visits, reviewing sales drivers and store performance vs model forecasts. Working closely with all stakeholders you will also develop actionable store location strategies.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a thorough knowledge of the market sectors and retail geographies of the countries we serve in APAC.
- Communication: Deliver clear, engaging written and verbal presentations and papers. Communicate across all types of stakeholders - senior management, in-house location planner, non-location planning customer (eg. IT), modellers, developers etc. Lead on and explain complex analysis in simple terms, taking on the role of the ‘user’ with technical team members. Support others in the team to provide the same quality of communication.
- Client & Account Management: Develop relationships with our clients before, during and after projects, to understand their wider business questions.
- Project Management: Actively lead through the whole spectrum of the project, from initial customer meetings to final delivery and beyond. Ensure effective and regular communication both internally and externally; represent the voice of our clients in internal meetings.
- Internal Partnerships: Work closely with the MAPP, New Product Development and Business Development teams to develop products and services through proactively collating and sharing customer feedback across Geolytix, supporting new initiatives and driving growth across the business.
